1. Authorizing Medical Oversight

ResQ-Script operates under the professional medical license and oversight of Dr. Harton. All emergency chronic prescription extensions generated through this platform are issued under Dr. Harton’s authority, subject to the strict clinical criteria outlined below.

2. Eligibility & Patient Requirements

An emergency extension is not a consultation or a new prescription. To qualify for a ResQ-Script, a patient must provide verifiable proof of:

  • A Valid Prior Chronic Prescription: Evidence of a previous chronic script with repeats that have now been fully exhausted.

  • Unavailability of Primary Care: Confirmation that the patient is unable to reach their original prescribing doctor due to scheduling, travel, or unexpected unavailability.

  • Emergency Necessity: A demonstrated risk to health if the chronic medication is interrupted.

3. Limited Scope of Service

  • One-Month Maximum: ResQ-Script is strictly limited to a one-month (30-day) emergency supply.

  • No Long-Term Care: This service is a temporary bridge and does not replace the need for regular medical check-ups. Patients are legally required to consult their primary physician for any further repeats or long-term management.

  • Exclusions: This platform cannot be used for the initiation of new treatments, Schedule 5 or 6 substances (unless specifically permitted by local emergency regulations), or acute conditions.

4. Pharmacist Verification Role

While Dr. Harton provides the authorizing license, the participating pharmacist acts as the frontline validator. The pharmacist must verify the patient’s previous script history and current emergency status before utilizing Dr. Harton’s license to generate the extension. The pharmacist retains the right to refuse a ResQ-Script if they believe the clinical criteria have not been met.

5. Assumption of Risk & Liability

By using this service, the patient acknowledges that this is an emergency measure. ResQ-Script, Dr. Harton, and the participating pharmacy are not liable for any complications arising from the patient’s failure to secure a follow-up appointment with their primary doctor following the one-month emergency period.

How this helps you:

  • Protects Dr. Harton: It clarifies that he is only authorizing a bridge, not taking over long-term care.

  • Sets Patient Expectations: It makes it clear they can't just "get a script"—they have to prove they had one before.

  • Empowers the Pharmacist: It defines them as the "gatekeeper" who checks the proof.
